visual & sound artist, poet and acupuncturist from brussels (vilvoorde, 1985)
Florence Cats' working process involves things about to appear or disappear, and echo one another : air, light, wind, tone, print, voice, water, color, dust, junk, rumor… She composes hybrid pieces related to travel, porosity and celestial phenomena. Each proposal is in tune to a context, a space, an environment.
"She plays the theremin in non-conventional ways by moving around a space or combining it with sounding objects, radio, water and visual elements. Spatiality and silence are crucial concepts in her work, always in tune with a specific space."
